A Landmark for Labor Movements

Did you know ?

The International Trade Union House is home to leading international organizations, including the ITUC, the ETUC, the ETUI, as well as other federations and a coworking hub.

As the headquarters of the world’s largest global union federation, it plays a central role in promoting workers’ rights, fair labor standards and social justice worldwide.

11.000 of Transformation

SMILE was entrusted with the complete reimagining of the ITUH: 11.000 m² across multiple tenants, each with its own identity and culture.

From workplace strategy and needs analysis to full Design & Build delivery, SMILE orchestrated the transformation of this complex environment into a cohesive yet diverse hub.

Shared Values, Distinct Identities

Uniting cultures, empowering voices worldwide

The project balanced unity and diversity: common spaces foster collaboration across organizations, while dedicated areas reflect the specific culture of each entity. With integrated MEP coordination and a focus on well-being, the ITUH now embodies both the scale of global labor movements and the daily needs of their teams.

Testimonial

"I just wanted to say that we moved into the new offices today, and they are gorgeous. You did a great job—really fantastic. I love the space and what you have done with it, as I knew I would from our very first meeting—comfortable, spacious, modern, yet warm and welcoming. Thank you! Job well done!"
