In the Quatuor Building by Befimmo, a BREEAM Outstanding landmark in Brussels, Buy Way Finance chose to reinvent its workplace. SMILE guided the transition toward hybrid work, shaping a 1.500 m² environment that balances flexibility, identity, and collaboration. Beyond sustainability and comfort, the ambition was clear: create an office that feels as alive and dynamic as the city itself.
The Urban Way
The design was imagined as a miniature city, where every zone has its rhythm and function.
- The Main Street serves as the social artery, ideal for chance encounters and informal exchange.
- The Tube channels mobility and energy, encouraging spontaneous meetings.
- The Park offers a calm retreat inspired by nature, supporting quiet focus.
- The Bar acts as a cultural hub, blending relaxation with connection.
With fixed desks, flexible stations, and a range of meeting rooms from 2 to 20 people, the layout supports all modes of work.
Acoustic treatments from perforated wood to felt tunnels and expanded metal, add texture and comfort, echoing the layers of an urban fabric.
The Container Heart & Art in the City
The Urban Concept: designed like a city, built for collaboration
At the core of the office stands a bold red container: raw, industrial, and magnetic.
On one side, it forms a bar and kitchen hub that energises daily flow.
On the other, it opens into an amphitheatre with tiered seating. A true town square for workshops, presentations, and collective moments.
- Adeline Halot, with delicate textile-metal sculptures that play with light.
- Studio Élémentaire, scenographers whose poetic interventions stage matter, rhythm and light, creating immersive experiences that reconnect people with the sensory dimension of space.
- Arnaud Kool, whose graffiti murals inject the energy of Brussels’ streets directly into the office.
Together, these elements transform Buy Way’s workplace into a living cityscape : bold, layered, and unmistakably their own.
